Epiphany and Mea Culpa
I had an epiphany today, which is a sudden manifestation of the meaning or essence of something. I was daydreaming of being back in childhood. When we were on the playground, a young fellow thought he was king of the playground. He would bully all the kids around him just as Barack Obama, from the bully pulpit, bullies people with whom he disagrees. No matter how charismatic he appeared to be, the other kids grew to detest him because he never took the blame and always blamed others for every problem that occurred. It was never his fault. Finally, one day another bigger bully came to the playground and beat the tar out of this little bully fellow. The bigger bully beat the little bully so bad that he had a mea culpa, which is an acknowledgement of a personal fault or error. The little bully came to the realization that all the other kids disliked him because he never ever took responsibility for the problems he had created.
Therefore, until President Barack Obama realizes that all of the problems he must deal with are not George Bush’s fault but are instead due to his own fault or error, he will never become a successful president. If he will just realize that and start owning up to his problems, he will become more successful at resolving them. In addition, people will start recognizing this personal responsibility and will respect him more instead of getting irritated at him for not taking the blame for his own problems. Today, the only people who still love and respect President Obama are those minions and lemmings who drank the Kool-Aid and would follow him no matter what he did. However, to win back the following of all those independents and whites who elected him president, he must start taking the blame, being responsible, and facing up to problems. I hope President Obama will also have this epiphany and mea culpa.
