Kentucky Lawmaker Seeks To Ban Anonymous Posting On Internet
Democratic State Rep. Rick Nelson from Bell and Harlan Counties is sick and tired of people posting anonymously on the internet (especially about him) and seeks to use Kentucky law to stop it. Democratic-socialist Nelson has introduced BR 344, which would push a $500 fine for the first offense and $1,000 for each subsequent event.

AN ACT relating to information technology.
Create new sections of KRS Chapter 369 to establish definitions relating to Internet Web sites, blogs, and message boards; require registration by parties who post entries to these interactive services; require providers of these services to conspicuously identify the parties who post entries; require providers of these services to disclose, upon request, the names, addresses, and e-mail addresses of parties posting entries; establish penalties of $500 for first offense and $1,000 for each subsequent offense.
The above example should illustrate why Kentucky needs new lawmakers, Nelson was elected in 2001 and under his “leadership” unemployment has since doubled! This bill would only lead to more job losses, but don’t tell that to Nelson, we wouldn’t want to confuse him!
