Senator-Elect Rand Paul Announces Initial Staff Appointments

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In anticipation of the 112th Congress, Sen.-elect Rand Paul announced today the following hires to his official Senate office. This staff will be in place in early January 2011 to support Sen. Paul’s plans for an aggressive legislative agenda.

“Kentuckians sent a resounding message to Washington when they elected me to serve the Bluegrass State in the U.S. Senate. I am proud to announce the following members of my staff, who share my dedication to reforming government and ending business as usual here in our nation’s capital,” Sen.-elect Paul said in a statement Tuesday.

Chief of Staff Doug Stafford joins Sen.-elect Paul’s office with over a dozen years of conservative grassroots activism experience, including Campaign for Liberty and most recently, the National Right to Work Committee. Cayce Moffett will serve as the Assistant to the Chief of Staff.

William Henderson, Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director, served in outgoing Sen. Jim Bunning’s office for the past 11 years, most recently as Legislative Director and Counsel and Staff Director of Senator Bunning’s Banking Committee subcommittee.

State Director Jim Milliman is a Louisville lawyer who has counseled numerous conservative candidates and advanced conservative causes for many years.

Rachel McCubbin, Deputy State Director, worked in state operations for Sen. Bunning as a Field Representative in the 1st District.

Communications Director Moira Bagley most recently served under the same title at the Republican Party of Kentucky.

Other positions within Sen.-elect Paul’s operation include the following Kentucky District and Field Representatives; more announcements will follow:

Bernie Kunkel, Northern Kentucky
Bryan Mills, Eastern Kentucky
Ryan Hogan, Bowling Green
Dan Bayens, Lexington

In the Washington, D.C., office, Sen.-elect Paul has filled the following positions:

Seana Cranston and Rachel Latta, Legislative Assistants
Luke Mroz, Breck Farking and Brett King, Legislative Correspondents
Carolyn Moffa, Staff Assistant
Orlando Watson, Press Assistant
