Gosh, it’s a good thing we don’t have a warmonger in the White House, eh? Because that kinda’ thing is only found amongst republicrats with an ‘R’ after their name.

Obama Doctrine Prior to Gaddafi’s Death

Bin Laden executed without a trial — which was quickly followed by a covering-up of what happened, along with much confusion and conflicting stories. Please don’t misunderstand me; this man was not an American citizen, and he was responsible for what he did. But just because shooting him on the spot is easier to justify, it doesn’t make it more right.

Some early reports (before the smokescreen of conflicting stories began to thicken) stated that the Bin Laden mission was to kill, and not capture. Once this becomes precedent in one case, it becomes a U.S. policy that is hard to stop.

Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi’s family killed in airstrike. Keep in mind that Washington DC insists that this isn’t a war. Yet Gaddafi, a political leader, was apparently a target of an assassination via air strike.

Making it worse, this airstrike came after NATO dismissed an offer to talk! So instead of talking, they drop bombs bombs. (Not a war?) Not only did they miss their intended victim,Gaddafi’s youngest son and three grandchildren were killed.

Execution of Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen. Anwar al-Awlaki and another America-born militant were killed in Yemen by a CIA-led U.S. drone strike. Criticism of this is due to the fact that the U.S. citizens were executed without trial, and without even being charged of any crime. The fact that this was done with the approval of a U.S. president sets a dangerous precedent, making it apparently U.S. policy to remove U.S. citizens simply by declaring them to be “terrorists.”

Homeland Security is so arbitrary with the “terrorist” label that members of the Catholic Workers Movement, anti-war activists, anti-drilling activists, environmentalists, and animal-rights groups have all been on terror “watch lists.” Until now, being on such a list meant that, at worse, you’d get arrested. But now you might just be assassinated.
