Spineless Jellyfish of the Month: The Susan G. Komen Foundation

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

In the past few days, the Susan G. Komen Foundation, a non-profit organization who cares about women but apparently not children, has gone from no longer providing funds to Planned Parenthood to now deciding they will continue to pay for the murder of babies.  I have no understanding of how you can put so much time and effort into saving lives, but turn around and throw murdered children in a trash can.  While the Komen Foundation has come up with several excuses for the flip flop, this article from PJ Media hits the nail on the head.

It’s difficult to see this as anything other than a surrender to
political and media pressure. Komen was not prepared for the onslaught
that Planned Parenthood unleashed on them, and was not ready for the
internal battle that ensued within its ranks as well.

The lesson from this so far is that in free choice America, you’re
only free to make choices that the media won’t crucify you for making.

According to the Susan G. Komen website,10 million women ‘might’ die in the next 25 years from breast cancer.  Unfortunately, they are overlooking the 57 million children who been killed in abortion clinics since 1973.

It’s sad organizations like this can’t keep their political agenda out of their business.  The excitement sweeping across Conservative blogs after the announcement of no longer supporting PP was widespread.  I’m willing to bet the decision to not fund PP would not have resulted in the loss of funds from current supporters and would definitely have brought in a entirely new group of supporters.  Instead, the Komen Foundation will continue to make it unlikely for people like myself to donate money to their organization.  There’s just something wrong about saving women’s lives while murdering their very own innocent children.

As for other non-profits and businesses you may want to reconsider supporting, Life Decisions International has complied a list of Planed Parenthood friendly organizations.
