Do You Read Bumper Stickers?

Last week, a friend of mine shared a story with me that brightened my day and I thought you would like it too.

She wrote, “I’ve been working in a very nice neighborhood in Avon Lake, and from the first day I parked on the street.


One day I went outside to put something into the trash bin and I heard a voice calling to me, “GREAT BUMPER STICKERS!!” The neighbor wanted me to know he appreciated the Conservative messages on my car.


Whenever I see him now he waves his arms and yells, “Thank you for being there!!”


It happens a lot; people nodding in approval when they see “Don’t tread on me” and “the bigger the government the smaller the citizen.”


We thought 2010 would bring the change back to the standards set by the Founders and Framers. That was just the beginning of the need to remind people.


A day shouldn’t go by that we don’t speak to someone about the preservation of the founding principals.  We say, “Have a good day!”


But maybe we should say, “Love Liberty!” Or something like it.


She later added, “ A woman driving behind me yesterday honked wildly because of them. I feel my car and I are wearing a uniform of sorts.”

Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness are not just words on an old piece of paper; they live in the hearts of many of us still!

If you don’t think you are over taxed and under represented; you really need to listen up!!
