Obama Refers to Jesus as "A Son of God"

I haven’t been shy about my personal opinion of Obama’s religious beliefs in the past.  I believe he grew up as a Muslim and his comment in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos was more than an accidental slip.  His portrayal of himself as a Christian is nothing more than a political tactic.  He has shown the willingness to do what it takes to win votes and believes being a Christian helps him steal votes from the moderate right. 

Not only should Christian’s be disgusted by the total lack of support for the faith by his administration, but Muslims should be furious over the fact the man who claims to see them as such an integral part of this country doesn’t think he can win an election being one of them.

Google search ‘Obama Christian quotes’ and ‘Obama Islam quotes’ and you will find some confusing, contradicting, misguided quotes on both religions.  It’s pretty simple to me, Obama is trying to play both sides with the simple goal of winning an election.  While I do believe he was born and raised a Muslim, I have come to realize he is more likely an atheist today. 

As our new contributor, Tim, mentioned in his first article yesterday, if you don’t believe in a higher governing power, then you are left with men governing men and asserting their power over others.  It’s become clear to me, this is what Obama stands for.  He believes his intellect places him in a higher category than the average American and his blatant willingness to deceive and control other men through lies displays that belief.  He is forcing people to live under his rule through lies and does so because he truly believes he knows better than us.  No man who believes this and wants this type of dictatorship can possibly believe in a loving God.

With the Easter season upon us, I came across perhaps the most damning quote I have heard from Obama and the MSM is completely ignoring it.  Thanks to CNS News, I came across the quote I would have otherwise never heard.

Obama referred to Jesus Christ as “a son of God.”

“It’s an opportunity for us to reflect on the triumph of the
resurrection, and to give thanks for the all-important gift of grace,” Obama said of Easter,
which is this Sunday. “And for me, and I’m sure for some of you, it’s
also a chance to remember the tremendous sacrifice that led up to that
day, and all that Christ endured–not just as a Son of God, but as a
human being.”

 This is an absolutely disgraceful quote in the Easter season.  The Bible leaves no doubt about it, Jesus Christ is THE son of God.  The most well known Bible quote in the world makes this plain as day. 

John 3:16

 ¹⁶ For God so loved
the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in
him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Mr. President, if you are going to lie about your faith, please get the most basic facts straight.  I’m not here to judge people based on their faith, but please at least be honest about your beliefs.  If you don’t believe Jesus is the “one and only son” of God, you are not the Christian you claim to be.

This is the season where we celebrate our God’s willingness to send his ONLY son to suffer and die on the cross for us so our sins may be forgiven and we may live eternal life in heaven.  Not that anytime of the year is a good time to lie about your faith, but speaking in contradiction to the Bible at an Easter event is a disgrace.
