Cover Up: Special Forces Security Team Was Yanked From Benghazi Just Before The Attack
This just gets worse and worse.
Aside from misleading the American people about the nature and cause of the attack for partisan political purposes, it has now surfaced that just before the attacks, the Obama administration deliberately denied Ambassador Chris Stevens the additional security he requested.
Also, just one month before what was an easily predictable flashpoint of the anniversary of 9/1, the Obama Administration yanked a 16 member Special Forces Security team from Benghazi. Lt. Col. Andy Wood was the leader of the 16 member special forces team whose job it was to provide security for U.S. personnel in Libya, but his team’s mission was terminated in August a month before the attacks. A six member mobile security team was also withdrawn around the same time.
Lt. Col. Wood has been subpoenaed to appear at a House committee hearing this coming week, and told CBS News it was unbelievable to him that the State Department withdrew the security teams when they did because of the 13 security incidents before 9-11.
It’s becoming more and more evident that none of those four Americans had to die, and that this was a case of gross negligence of staggering proportions that the Administration tried and failed to cover up.
But as President Obama said on his way to yet another campaign appearance, to him it was just another bump in the road.
