George Will Projects Minnesota Will Go to Romney (VIDEO)
I already posted the results of ABC’s This Week Round Table’s presidential election predictions, but I thought I’d share George Will’s predictions separately because he predicts a very interesting scenario that almost no one is talking about – a local issue, in this case a marriage amendment, impacting the turnout and the demographics for the presidential race.
His prediction?
Minnesota goes for Romney because of a strong evangelical turnout due to a marriage amendment on the ballot?
Very interesting.
Is he reaching? Perhaps, but if he’s right; dude just earned himself a few free passes from folks like me.
“I guess the wild card in what I projected; I’m projecting Minnesota to go for Romney. Now that’s the only state in the Union, because native son Mondale held when Reagan was getting 49 states, its the only state that’s voted democratic in nine consecutive elections; but this year, there’s a marriage amendment on the ballot that will bring out the evangelicals and I think could make the difference.”
