Wyoming House Bill No. HB0104 – Firearm Protection Act

By Rich Denison / K2 Radio Wyoming – Several Wyoming lawmakers are proposing legislation designed to protect gun-owners from any potential federal firearm ban. The “Firearms Protection Act” bill, introduced this week, would make any federal law banning semi-automatic firearms or limiting the size of gun magazines unenforceable within the state’s boundaries.
Anyone trying to enforce a federal gun ban could face felony charges under the proposal. It also includes a provision allowing the Wyoming Attorney General’s office to defend any state resident against any federal firearm ban.

This is just stupid. It’s nothing but a grandstand play. Wyoming gets to be a laughing stock again. They are failing to realize that a Federal Law will supersede a State law. Wyoming will be held to the Federal Standard, just like the drinking age law was. Just like the stupid ‘bounty’ on wolves was. Come on, people, it seems a bit dark in the area where the cranial cavity is.
Yes, this is a ‘pro gun’ state. I’m not against guns in general, nor am I against hunting. Just show me a deer, elk or antelope that needs an assault rifle or a 30 round magazine.
The first 10 amendments to the Constitution are generally known as ‘The Bill of Rights”. They aren’t likely to be changed. The State of Wyoming has every right to protect and legislate, within it’s borders. The “Federal Standard” as you call it, IS the Constitution.
You need to rebook at your opinion and get the facts right. States did not have to abide by the drinking age, they were blackmailed by the Federal Government with the penalty of loosing federal highway money to repair roads if they did not comply. The Feds could not enforce the DUI laws, and needed the states to do it, and the only way to enforce it was to hold back money.if the state wanted to not enforce it they’d have to tax their citizens to get the money, so the choose to comply by black mail.

The 2nd Amendment was never intended for hunting so your point is “pointless” The 2nd Amendment was intended to Arm the citizens from a tyrannical government from stealing their liberties.
We are losing freedoms every day! They forced a healthcare mandate (a tax) w/o a vote, Obama has Czar’s that side step congress (I blame congress for not stopping that) They have made us, our children and future generations slaves to taxation to pay off a debt so massive it will never be paid, They have failed to seal the border which has allowed illegal immigrants by the millions come here and leech off of our system and that have committed countless violent crimes (failed to protect citizens from enemies both foreign and domestic).
Used an executive order that is unconstitutional NDAA which is vague enough to deny citizens Habeas Corpus (unlawful detention—that is, detention lacking sufficient cause or evidence)
I could go on, so I am shocked you are oblivious to these encroachments and somehow think we should trust the government when they get their eventual wish which is to ban all guns right down to BB Guns.
I am not that stupid and fortunately millions of other Americans are not either. It’s not to late to open your eyes!!
