Mexico Gunfight Leaves Over 36 Dead

The Cartel Violence Is The Fault of The United States

Reynosa Tamp MxFear and panic filled the streets of Reynosa Sunday night as rival gunmen battled with automatic weapons and grenades during a three-hour firefight. Mexican authorities were absent for most of the melee.

The opening clashes were reported before 9 p.m. Sunday, when rival factions of the Gulf Cartel consummated what appeared to be another rift within the criminal organization.

During the battle, dozens of gunmen were killed, but authorities on Monday would confirm the deaths of two bystanders and the injury of a third.

A Tamaulipas law enforcement official, who asked to not be named citing security reasons, confirmed that the death toll was about three dozen, but the exact figures were not known because cartel gunmen picked up their own people’s bodies during the struggle.

In a news release, the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office, known as the PGJE, confirmed that the two slain bystanders were a taxi driver and a teenager who was riding a vehicle with his father. The release confirms one person was injured and seven gunmen arrested, and it states that authorities seized 22 vehicles that were used in the melee, but it doesn’t mention any gunmen dying.

The Tamaulipas law enforcement agent called the new release issued by his superiors an insult to common sense.

“There were four trucks filled with bodies that (members of organized crime) picked up,” the official said. “That is not counting the (bodies) that were left behind.”

The news release did not mention a bullet-riddled SUV that was left along Boulevard Hidalgo, one of the city’s main avenues, just south of Vista Hermosa Avenue near the local headquarters of Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office.

Inside the truck, four bloodied bodies could be seen from a distance hours after sundown Sunday. Just north of that location near the Fiesta Inn Hotel along Boulevard Hidalgo, another bullet-riddled vehicle could be seen with three bodies inside it.

Most of the city’s main avenues had been blocked with hijacked trailers or buses, and road spikes were littered in other areas to stop traffic. Read Complete Article

I am going to need you to bear with me on this post, as it will take you down a couple of paths before we get to the end of the road.

The shootout Sunday evening between the rival cartels erupted leaving at least three dozen dead, includes at least two innocent bystanders.  When something as tragic as this shootout occurs just south of our border and the United States is blamed and “We the People” may be the ones who will ultimately pay the price. The Mexican government has been leading the charge in pushing the Obama administration to regulate our gun laws for some time now.  And Mexico is leading the way to punish us and would be pleased if the second amendment was repealed.

Remember “Mexico” has formally requested from the United States Senate a gun registry of all American citizens who resides on the southern border of Mexico. Why? Mexico claims it will be easier to trace the weapons that are used in violence in their country. Bullshit, all they have to do is formally request the information on case by case basis from the BATF, and the information will be available to them in the proper venue and at the proper time.  To my knowledge, Mexico has never been denied access to information when it is deemed necessary. To just arbitrarily hand over a list of names of American citizens would be an invasion of privacy and dangerous to our citizens.  Privacy to Obama means nothing.

Chances are Obama will appease them and give Mexico the list. Obama is a coward and will not stand up to Mexico and tell them to shove off.   Obama went as far as to BLAME the United States in a 2009 speech given in Mexico.  Obama, on foreign soil blamed the United States for Mexico’s failures.  This is another colossal event that went unreported.  It appears from where I sit that according to Obama, “We The People” are at fault for the worlds problems. How about them apples.

‘This war is being waged with guns purchased not here but in the United States… more than 90 percent of the guns recovered in Mexico come from the United States, many from gun shops that lay in our shared border. So we have responsibilities as well.”  source

The Mexican federal government is blaming the United States for all of the cartel violence; does this sound familiar? It’s the same tune that Hussein Obama has been singing since he took office.  He sings it when the economy takes a nose dive and the unemployment sky rockets.  It has become a blame game with Mexico now, instead of taking responsibility for their own short comings, it is easier to blame your neighbor or your predecessor as Obama does on a daily basis.  Obama’s “Motto”  has been coined, and will take the place of “In God We Trust” to “Blame Bush”.   What Mexico will say is “no es culpa nuestra”, translation to English, is “It’s not our fault!”

The former Mexican president Felipe Calderon has asked U.S. lawmakers to renew the ban on assault weapons before, most notably in a 2010 speech to the U.S. Congress.

You need not look further than the speech former Mexican President Felipe Calderon made when he was allowed to address a joint session of congress. He was allowed to belittle the United States in the halls of congress, as an American citizen I was never so embarrassed and humiliated to sit there and listen to a foreign president on American soil dress down the United States of America.  Calderon should have been removed and sent back to Mexico.

It should have been humiliating to all of us. I remember clearly as Nancy Pelosi applauding and jumping out of her seat with joy as Calderon humiliated the United States.  Obama did nothing nor did he respond to Caldrons verbal attack on the United StatesCalderon should have been tossed out on his ear, but that is just my opinion.

If you have not kept up with Mexico and their efforts to expedite the United States into regulating our gun laws you should be to. The Mexican president is challenging Obama to stop gun trafficking. In fairness to Mexico they are correct in telling Obama to stop gun trafficking; why, because it the Obama administration who allowed Fast and Furious to continue in the first place. To this date, as far as I know, Obama and Eric Holder have denied knowledge of the Fast and Furious operation.

So how does this tie in to Obama and the Gun Grab?  They are using drug cartels violence to further the gun regulations in the United States.  As far as Mexico is concerned, the more cartel violence the better, it is just added pressure for Mexico to use against the United States. If you do not think it is working look at the recent gun regulations recently passed in Colorado. It may be coming to a State near you.

A very common misconception is that firearms are illegal in Mexico and that no person may possess them. This belief originates due the general perception that only members of law enforcement, the armed forces, or those in armed security protection are authorized to have them.   That is wrong.

You may own a weapon, but you certainly must jump through hoops to comply with Mexico’s rigid regulations. So you ask why we should we care about what Mexico does regarding their control of firearms, because I believe this is the direction Hussein Obama is leading this nation, if “We The People” allow him,  and as you know, I am totally against any additional gun control laws.  Just enforce the laws which are already on the books.

The politics in Mexico covers the role firearms play as part of society within the limits of  Mexico’s current legislation sets the legality by which members of the armed forces, law enforcement and private citizens may acquire, own, possess and carry firearms; covering the rights and limitations which apply to individuals, including hunting and shooting sport participants, property and personal protection personnel such as bodyguards, security officers, private security, and extending to VIPs (diplomats, public officials, celebrities)

While it is true that Mexico possesses very strict gun laws, where most types and calibers are reserved to military and law enforcement, the acquisition and ownership of certain firearms and ammunition remains a constitutional right to all Mexican citizens and foreign legal residents; given the requirements and conditions to exercise such right are fulfilled in accordance to the law.

In my opinion,   Mexico needs to take care of their business,  recall all of their citizens,  find them jobs give them health care, pay for there rent and pay back the billions of dollars which they owe the United States.  Leave the United States alone to deal with their gun laws. We do not need your help or your advice.

Mexico has the audacity to blame the United States for their drug cartels and their actions.  No doubt some of the United States citizens have drug problems and some citizens have become drug traffickers. However we are dealing with the issues.   It is Mexico who has the problems with corruption that runs throughout their political system.  The United States has corruption as well, and we are dealing with it as well.

What we do not have is the Drug Cartel violence to the degree we see in Mexico almost on a daily basis. The violence we do experience on the border is “spill over” from your cartels attempting to engage our law enforcement while the trafficking drugs. The violence on the United States is nominal.  However, the violence does not reach the levels that is experienced in the country of Mexico on a daily bases.

We do not see the dismembered and beheaded corpse tossed out in the middle of the streets, or hanging from bridges for all to see, like you see in all parts Mexico. You do not see the 30 to 40 people killed in shoot outs like you see in Mexico, the violence is terrible and Mexico has been unable to stop it much less slow it down.  .

Mexico is so far down the road in this war against the cartels to back down, if they do back off, Mexico will be known as the LOSERS on the war on drugs.

So my advice to you, the Mexican Politician is this, take care of your own glass house before you start throwing rocks others. I am sick and tired of having to pay for 15 million of your citizen’s health care, rent, food and education. Like I said, recall all of your citizens and take the responsibility for all of them one and all.

Clean up your government before you tell us what is wrong with ours……

There will be follow up post related to the topic of the expanding escalation of the border violence.  Living rougly 15 miles from Mexico’s norther border, I take serious interest to what happens in our back yard here in the beautiful Rio Grande Valley.  As the saying gies, it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Just for your reading pleasure, here is how Mexico regulates firearms and their use.  If we do not start voicing our concerns about Hussein Obama and his administration over-stepping his authority as president of the United States and violating the constitution now, we will be on the outside looking in as the government strips us of our God given right of firearm ownership as outlined by the second amendment to the constitution.  If we as a nation sit ideally by and allow Obama to strip us of our rights, we will have no one to blame but ourselves.

Mexico has strict gun laws. Mexican citizens and legal residents may purchase new non-military firearms for self-protection or hunting only after receiving approval of a petition to the Defense Ministry, which performs extensive background checks.

The allowed weapons are restricted to relatively low-caliber and can be purchased from the Defense Ministry only. “Military” firearms, including pistols with bores exceeding .38 caliber, and bb guns (but not pellet guns) require federal licenses and are regulated in a manner similar to that dictated by the U.S. National Firearms Act (NFA).

The private sale of “non-military” firearms, however, is unregulated, and while these firearms are supposed to be registered with the government, in practice this is widely ignored. Laws dealing with the possession of “non-military” firearms are left to the states. Generally, “non-military” firearms may be kept in the home, but a license is required to carry them outside the home.

President Felipe Calderón has called attention to the alleged problem of the smuggling of guns from the United States into Mexico, guns which are easily available both legally and illegally in the United States, and has called for increased cooperation from the United States to stop this illegal weapons trafficking.

In the five years prior to 2012, over two-thirds of illegal firearms seized in Mexico that could be traced to a source, were traced back to the United States of America. However, traceable firearms constitute only a small portion of the total seized, and the origin of the majority cannot be positively identified.
