Obama-gate, so many scandals, now add HHS-gate

Editor’s Note – The Obama Presidency has now become one huge scandal. From Obama Care, to Fast & Furious, to Benghazi, to Extortion 17, to journalist-gate, to the IRS debacle, and now the HHS scandal. This only a partial list of course but its true, the entirety of his Oval Office stay is rife with scandal. No wonder so many think there is a conspiracy that we must now fear governmental tyranny.

Let’s just call it all Obama-gate. We can now call Obama Care and HHS scandals as well. Check this new angle out too: Taxation Without Representation: The Illegal IRS Rule to Expand Tax Credits Under the PPACA.

In the article below, we now see that HHS has become a scandal. When you hold an appointed position within the government, the Hatch Act precludes you from political activity, even to get your boss reelected. But what is perhaps more than just an infringement of that act, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius appears to be circumventing Congress as well in seeking donations to support a program for the implementation of Obamacare (PPACA) that can only be funded through a Congressional Act.

Circumventing Congress is now a well-known tactic of the Obama Administration but this latest scandal is just another example of the bigger scandal – the entire Presidency of Barack Obama. Bullying, pressuring, bribing, lying, obfuscating and strong arm tactics are the norm now. In this instance, it is not a leap to say that Kathleen Sebelius is strong-arming private entities to pay up or what?

Time after time, since 2008, this administration has played fast and loose with the law – and it is not redundant to mention again the repetition and the volume of events and scandals. The sheer weight of these scandals has rendered America ‘broken’, completely.

When we watch the hearings, it is common to hear the phrase: “regular order please…Mr. Chairman!” How does America get back to ‘regular order’ with so many scandals completely destroying the public’s confidence in anything governmental now? Tyranny has many faces, and we are seeing plenty of them now, ask Victor Davis Hanson who closed his most recent column, “Conspiracy theories may be justified” with:

“Who knows, but yesterday’s whacky  conspiracist is becoming today’s Nostradamus.” – referring to how those who say this government is tyrannical were considered conspiracy theorists, people to hold in disdain.

Obamacare Donor-Gate Scandal: Is Sebelius Breaking Federal Law Again?

Back in September of 2012, I informed readers that Barack Obama’s Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius violated the Hatch Act by calling for the re-election of Obama in her official capacity. That was a violation of federal law and inside of two weeks she was set to campaign for Obama.

She has yet to be removed from office. Now her actions are once again drawing scrutiny. She is being questioned because of her reported actions of soliciting donations from non-profit organizations that are “directly implementing” Obamacare.

Twenty-six members of Congress, including Michele Bachmann (R-MN) and John Culberson sent a letter on May 16 questioning the actions of Sebelius.

“We are deeply concerned with the recent reports that you have made numerous phone calls soliciting financial donations for non-profits that are working to enroll individuals in the new Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act exchanges (or ‘marketplaces’ as you now call them),” the letter began.

The letter also reminds Sebelius that if such calls were made, that she is once again violating federal law. “As you know, federal regulations specifically prohibit federal employees from fundraising in their official capacity. Cabinet members like yourself are prohibited from soliciting donations from anyone who conducts business with your Department.”

They then request answers to the following questions:

1. Media reports state that you have made multiple phone calls to health care industry executives, community organizations, and church groups and directly asked that they contribute funds to non-profits that are working to enroll individuals in the exchanges and increase awareness and support for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Is this true?
2. If yes, how many calls have you made?
3. When did you place these calls? Please provide us both with the dates and times the calls were placed.
4. Were any Department resources used to place these calls (phones, staff times, etc.)?
5. What are the names of the non-profits on whose behalf you have solicited donations?
6. What are the names and affiliations of the individuals that you have called requesting donations?
7. Have any of these individuals or organizations ever: (1) met with Department staff; (2) solicited assistance from the Department; or (3) filed comments with the Department?
8. How much money have you raised?
9. Do you plan on continuing to solicit donations?

Well, what you do expect will actually come of this? I mean you have a known criminal who has violated federal law left at her post. Are we to believe that she wouldn’t go and break the law again?

See friends, this is what happens when criminals are allowed to be in office, break the law, and suffer no consequences as a result. Let’s just see what comes of this.
