Maybe Obama really doesn’t have time to keep up with what has been going on in his own Executive Branch, so that the blizzard of scandals — Fast & Furious, IRS targeting conservatives, DoJ spying of journalists, etc. — all happened without his notice. As you can see, he has been keeping awfully busy:
At an event at the White House on Thursday commemorating [homosexual] Pride Month, two third-grade children introduced President Barack Obama. Zea and Luna, nine-year-old twins, read appeals from a letter that they apparently sent to the nation’s leader last December. …
“We asked the president for his support for gay marriage, because we have two moms and they are just as good as other parents,” Zea added. “They love us a lot.”
The crowd applauded after the girls made this proclamation — and the president then took the stage to praise same-sex couples and to urge that the nation embrace gay matrimony.
A frivolous waste of time? Not at all. Obama doesn’t know the first thing about governing, but he does understand politics, which is downstream of culture. In this case the stream he is helping dump sewage in is circular. Reducing the concept of holy matrimony to a farce will help guarantee future generations too corrupted to resist Big Government.
