Rte. 666 – Highway to… $6.666 Trillion in Debt Under Obama

Editor’s Note – “666″ that infamous “number of the beast” is eerily mirrored by the most recent Treasury estimate of the total debt accrued by the U.S. Government under President Obama’s 5 years in office.

Many on the internet will run with this analogy, drawing many different types of comparisons, but beside that sign of “evil” is a true sign that something is very, very bad and we all need to repeat it as often as possible because it affects us all. It effects everyone now and for at least three generations into the future. It also has a huge global impact, more severe than at anytime in the history of global economics.

See the amazing chart below on how long it took to accrue that much new debt from the inception of this country through the first 227 years! Then there were the Bush years, but no where near the Obama years.

It is not mentioned often enough though that during the Bush years, we were attacked on 9/11, fought the successful period of the Afghanistan War, and the entire Iraq War. All while the Democrat controlled Congress in his later years laid down the basis for the crash of 2008, despite his attempts to prevent it. (See the disaster time line video below or click here.)

Debt Up $6.666 Trillion Under Obama

(CNSNews.com) – The debt of the U.S. government has increased $6.666 trillion since President Barack Obama took office on Jan. 20, 2009, according to the latest numbers released by the Treasury Department.

When President Obama was first inaugurated on Jan. 20, 2009, the debt of the U.S. government was $10,626,877,048,913.08, according to the Treasury Department’s Bureau of the Public Debt.

As of Jan. 31, 2014, the latest day reported, the debt was $17,293,019,654,983.61—an increase of $6,666,142,606,070.53 since Obama’s first inauguration.

The total debt of the United States did not exceed $6.666 trillion until July 2003. In the little more than five years of the Obama presidency, the U.S. has accumulated as much new debt as it did in it’s first 227 years.
