Irony: Bill Clinton Says Hillary Not Out of Touch With “The Ordinary People” – Wait, What?
No, she’s not out of touch at all:
In an interview with NBC’s David Gregory as part of the Clinton Global Initiative America meeting in Denver, Bill Clinton pushed back against calls that Hillary Clinton doesn’t understand the average American, noting that she has worked “all her life” on “things that were good for ordinary people.”
“Ordinary people?”
Um, calling Americans “ordinary people” doesn’t really help your argument that Hillary isn’t out of touch.
Just saying.
And yeah, what Hillary did during her life was all about helping “ordinary people,” unless you’re a 12 year old rape victim, then she’s all about slut shaming you and painting you as mentally disturbed.
Or if you’re stupid enough to perform oral sex on her husband. Then she’s all about slut shaming you and painting you as mentally disturbed.
But that was slut shaming for the ordinary people.
And then there’s this:
The former president said that despite their wealth, which he is “grateful for,” the Clintons still “go to our local grocery store on the weekend” and “talk to people in our town.”
“We know what’s going on,” he said.
Is there a person alive who thinks Hillary Clinton goes grocery shopping? Anyone?
I believe that about as much as I believe Michelle Obama shops at Target.
You know what I take from this?
Hillary’s running in 2016. This whole thing is about a political transformation from Washington elitist to the every man.
And they are failing in spectacular fashion.
