WEAPONS OF MASS DISTRACTION

Occasionally Americans need to be reminded of the words of the famous man of the circus, P. T. Barnum who said “A SUCKER IS BORN EVERY MINUTE” and the media has turned Americans into blind sheep.

Thirty years ago the headlines in the Washington Post screamed… “American Planes Hit North Vietnam After Second Attack on Our Destroyers; Move Taken to Halt New Aggression.”

That same day, the New York Times reported: “President Johnson has ordered retaliatory action against gunboats and ‘certain supporting facilities in North Vietnam’ after renewed attacks against American destroyers in the Gulf of Tonkin.”

Americans were hoodwinked into a war by deceptive CIA disinformation and a media driven by profits and award seekers. Most journalists knew better but the big bucks are an incentive to bury the truth to keep their jobs.

However, there was no “second attack” by North Vietnam — There was no “renewed attacks against American destroyers.” By reporting official claims as ABSOLUTE TRUTHS, American journalists opened the floodgates for the bloody Vietnam War and came to realize the enormous profits that could be made through “Advocacy Journalism” or worse, as a card-carrying member of the Partisan Press.

The pattern took hold and continuous government lies passed on by pliant mass media lead to 58,000 American troop deaths and hundreds of thousands of injuries. Agent Orange and Napalm were dropped on the Vietnamese day after day and withheld from the American public.

A few decades later when the war began in Croatia in 1991 the very same media disinformation campaign was unleashed on ignorant Americans…just like it has been launched against Russia and President Putin, with a total lack of responsible reporting.

NOT a SINGLE American newspaper in 1991 reported that Ante Markovic, the Croatian Prime Minister of Yugoslavia ordered the Yugoslav army to attack Croatia, launching that Civil War. Markovic then resigned from his post and fled to Zagreb, fully aware that he had opened Pandora’s Box on Balkan violence.

In much the same disgusting level of reporting, the media was quick to attack Putin for downing the Malaysian passenger plane with a rocket he allegedly supplied to “rebel forces,” in spite of our own satellite evidence that the plane was downed by a Ukrainian jet fighter or that the recovered cockpit was full of bullet holes. The “false flag” attempt to smear Putin backfired on Obama and his minions in the CIA who got caught in their false flag deception.

For over 8 years the death toll of “250,000” victims in former Yugoslavia was reported by every journalists writing about these Balkan Civil Wars—a hideous lie repeated ad nauseam by the entire media without a shred of evidence. They were too consumed copying each others articles. In President Clinton’s last inaugural address he raised the death count to “300,000.” We now know that both were hideous lies and that the actual total number is 96,400 killed on all sides. Was the lie of 250,000 or 300,000 necessary to fan the flames of war on the ignorant American public? Was the impeachment of President Clinton and the scandal with Monica Lewinsky that important to get it off of the front pages?

In 1992 when the war moved into Bosnia, the disinformation campaign began with the “60,000 Bosnian Rape story” written by Tom Post of Newsweek. Buried at the end of his story was his disclaimer that “only 26 women were interviewed” for his grotesque fabrication. I telephoned Mr. Post to ask how he managed to extrapolate 26 into 60,000 rape victims and was told that the number came from the Izetbegovic Bosnian administration. Of course with the headlines screaming on the front pages of every newspaper in the world Mr. Post was not too eager in corroborating his facts. Nor was the State Department eager to expose the truth…

In the end, less than 750 women were raped, one third were Serbian victims. Less than 420 babies were born to these rape victims. UN document #S24491 is the only document submitted to the UN on rape…it is the legal video taped depositions of 800 Serbian women, many of whom identified their rapists. This document was submitted to the UN three weeks before the Newsweek story broke…was that Newsweek article another “false flag” meant to discredit the Serbs and to continue the falsifications of events? Or was this a cover your ass article due to such shoddy media coverage?

In the famous picture of the skeleton-like figure of Fikret Alic, a Bosnian Muslim allegedly imprisoned behind a barbed-wire enclosured Serbian “concentration camp” it turned out that it was the media cameraman that was inside the barbed wire and that Trnopolje was not a Serbian prison camp it was a refugee center.

Pictures of Dubrovnik burning was a media driven hoax in which the Croatians burned old auto tires throughout the walled city and photographed Dubrovnik with a telephoto lens to compress the range…Dubrovnik was not burning it was only smoking. Americans continued to be deceived by the CIA and the media.

Numerous images of Serbian victims were mislabeled as either Croatian or Muslim victims and republished numerous times in spite of the press in Belgrade supplying the names of the actual victims.

Anthony Lewis of the New York Times mocked the reports that “Serbian soldiers were being tortured by roasting them on spits like animals.” I sent Mr. Lewis and his foreign editor Gurtzman images of roasted soldiers demanding a retraction…my letter was never answered and a retraction was never printed.

Ms. Amanpour of CNN became expert at omission journalism as she manipulated facts and details that did not serve her hidden Muslim agenda. “She remained in her suite at the Holiday Inn in Sarajevo never venturing more than 100 meters from the hotel, relying on Muslim runners to gather details on which she was reporting” said UN Major Gen. Lewis Mackenzie of Canada.

The U.S. dropped more bombs on Serbia in 78 days than were dropped on Yugoslavia during 4 years of WWII. The enormous profits made by emptying out 60 years of weapons storage these American corporations who build weapons for the U.S. military saw their corporate stock values explode. President Eisenhower warned Americans about the “Industrial Military Complex” when he left office but elected officials and a pliant media are more than happy to distract us from the facts and the truth to serve this hidden agenda and to rake in newspaper profits.

Today’s enemy du jure is ISIS and the media is once again using their hideous tactics to distract, to manipulate and to fabricate the stories. Between Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Saudi Arabia there are more than a million well-armed troops and we are being led to believe that these Muslim countries are incapable of joining together to destroy 10,000 terrorists’ fanatics without the help of the U.S. military?

The American public is so propagandized by its own government and corporate news media that it mocks the foundation of a Free Society and a Free Press. This deception on such a large scale would be of little consequence if the US were not the most powerful economic and military force on earth.

By design the US intelligence publicized “Al Qaeda,” and Al Qaeda’s Syrian adjunct, “Al Nusra,” by inadequately investigating and defining them through the major news media. Absent meaningful historical context they usefully serve the pretext for America’s terminal “War on Terror,” and insultingly tells the American public that the slaughter of 13 and wounding of dozens at Ft. Hood was “workplace violence.”

A seemingly obvious feature of terrorist forces left unexamined by corporate media is that they are observably comprised of the same fanatic personnel in different uniforms unleashed throughout the Middle East and financed by the Saudi royal family—the strategy proposed during the George W. Bush administration.

With this in mind, ISIS is well financed, militarily proficient, and equipped with modern vehicles and weaponry left behind by the U.S. military who had every opportunity to either remove or blow up most of these vehicles and weapons. ISIS also exhibits an uncanny degree of media savvy in terms of propagating its message in professional-looking videos and on platforms such as YouTube and Twitter.

ISIS even received a sympathetic portrayal in a five-part series produced and aired by the Rupert Murdoch-backed Vice News. Indeed, Vice News’ “The Spread of the Caliphate” is reminiscent of the public relations-style propaganda produced via the “embedding” of corporate news media personnel with US and allied forces during the so-called WMD conquest of Iraq. Weapons of mass destruction never found.

According to “War on Terrorism” by author Michel Chossudovsky, “The CIA—using Pakistan’s military intelligence apparatus as a “go between”—played a key role in training the Mujahedeen. In turn, the CIA-sponsored guerrilla training was integrated with the teachings of Islam. Both the Clinton and Bush administrations have consistently supported the “Militant Islamic Base,” including Osama bin Laden’s Al Qaeda, as part of their foreign policy agenda. The links between Osama bin Laden and the Clinton administration in Bosnia and Kosovo are well documented by congressional records.”

The media never exposed the fact that 15 retired American generals from MPRI in Alexandria, Virginia went to Croatia in 1991 to arm and train Croatian forces. Nightly “secret” aircraft landed in Croatia and equipped the Croatian army with modern weapons….ignoring the arms embargo placed on Yugoslavia by the U.S.
Four years later these American generals trained the Croatian army to perpetrate “Operation Storm” in 1995, the single largest ethnic cleansing of 230,000 Serbians from Croatia in this entire Balkan war. These generals arranged for the AWACS radar to be turned off so that Croatia could violate the “No-Fly Zone” to bomb and strafe fleeing Serbian refugees…a war crime!

Over 1,170 Serbs were killed during “Operation Storm” and over 900 Serbian homes went up in smoke. Serbs were also dragged off of their carts and wagons and beaten to death… as the media managed to look the other way. Not one single Croatian, or any of these 15 American “mercenary” generals were brought to justice for their participation and planning of these war crimes.

If the CIA, Pentagon, State Department and our American Generals will stoop to these disgusting tactics to deceive the American people they are quite skilled at dragging us into another war about ISIL as they were in dragging us into a war over fictitious Weapons of Mass Destruction.
