In the wake of devout Muslims slaughtering 12 journalists and cartoonists at the French weekly magazine office of Charlie Hebdo, devout Muslims in America are holding an Islamic supremacist summit in Texas this weekend “Standing with the Prophet” – a declaration of sharia and strategizing to shut down “islamophobic speech”.

Any decent human being would have canceled this celebration and sanction of what took place in Paris. Instead the Islamic supremacists in this country push forward. We are protesting in defense of free speech. Join us in Texas.

Watch the video. It begins with the jihadists shouting, “We have avenged the prophet Muhammad!” with a nazi salute multiple times. They then calmly, coolly, change the magazines in their automatic weapons – no urgency — and continue on their jihad. The Frenchman taking the video did not know what they had just done but you can hear him murmer, “only in France.”

Video has emerged showing the two gunmen who murdered 12 people in the attack on Charlie Hebdo engaging in a shootout with French police after leaving the scene.

The amateur video, shot from a rooftop near the magazine’s offices in Paris, shows the two gunmen — later identified as brothers Cherif and Said Kouachi — shortly after they carried out the attack on January 7.

One of the brothers shouted “We have avenged the Prophet Mohammed” and “Al Qaeda Yemen” before they both reloaded their automatic weapons and started to drive their black Citroen getaway car down a narrow street.

But their path was blocked by a police car, and both men emerged from the Citroen and fired at the police vehicle, which rapidly reversed away from the scene.

It is thought the police car was struck by several bullets but the officers inside were unhurt.

The brothers were killed by police gunfire after a siege at a print works at Dammartin-en-Goele, north-east of Paris, two days later.
Slain police honoured in France as funerals held in Jerusalem

Overnight, ceremonies were held in France and Israel to remember those killed in the Charlie Hebdo massacre and other separate attacks during three days of bloodshed in France.

President Francois Hollande and several of his ministers attended a service of remembrance for two police officers killed in the assault against the magazine, and a third officer killed a day later in a connected attack by lone gunman Amedy Coulibaly.

Mr Hollande told grieving relatives of the slain police officers that they had “died so that we could live in freedom”, as he posthumously awarded them the Legion of Honour.

“They died carrying out their duty with courage, bravery, dignity. They died as police officers,” Mr Hollande said.

“Our great and beautiful France will never break, will never yield, never bend.”

In Jerusalem, Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu and president Reuven Rivlin attended a funeral in Givat Shaul cemetery, where thousands came to mourn the four Jewish victims of a kosher supermarket shootout.

Mr Rivlin said it was unacceptable that Jews were living in fear in Europe.

“We cannot allow that in 2015, 70 years since the end of World War II, Jews are afraid to walk in the streets of Europe with skullcaps and tzitzit [head covering and prayer garments],” he said.

The attack on the supermarket, which killed Yoav Hattab, 22, Philippe Braham, 45, Yohan Cohen, 23, and Francois-Michel Saada, 64, has left the Jewish community in both France and Israel badly shaken.

The four men were in the supermarket shortly before the start of the Jewish Sabbath when it was attacked by Coulibaly, who was killed by police and had links to the Charlie Hebdo gunmen.
France declares ‘war on terrorism’

Questions have risen over how the three gunmen behind the attacks in France, who were known to intelligence agents and had been on a US terror watch list, had slipped through the cracks.

In a special sitting of the French parliament, prime minister Manuel Valls declared “war against terrorism”.

Mr Valls, in a speech that drew several standing ovations, called for intelligence capabilities and anti-terrorism laws to be strengthened after previously admitting to “clear failings” over the attackers.

“France is at war against terrorism, jihadism, radicalism. France is not at war against Islam and Muslims,” Mr Valls said.

“I don’t want Jews in this country to be scared or Muslims to be ashamed [of their faith].”
