Response to Netanyahu’s Speech From Arabs and Democrats

Yesterday Netanyahu spoke with the voice of reason against Obama’s terrifying policy of allowing the Islamist regime in Iran, the #1 exporter of terror in the world, to acquire nuclear weapons. Even in the Arab world he received a positive response:

Tzvi Yechezkieli, the Arab affairs expert of [Israel’s] Channel 10, said that many Arab commentators supported the content of Netanyahu’s speech. He cited a commentator on Al-Arabiya TV, who had said that he could have written a large part of the speech.

Yechezkieli said that the Arab countries are convinced that Obama will not safeguard their security interests in the current negotiations with Iran and will not protect them against Iranian aggression.

[Monday], Faisal J. Abbas, the powerful Editor-in-Chief of Al Arabiya English, published an editorial under the headline: “President Obama, listen to Netanyahu on Iran.” Abbas’ editorial was a reaction to Netanyahu’s speech to AIPAC [Monday].

He wrote: “In just a few words, Mr. Netanyahu managed to accurately summarize a clear and present danger, not just to Israel (which obviously is his concern), but to other U.S. allies in the region.”

The Saudi Daily Al-Jazirah published an article written by Dr. Ahmad Al-Faraj, who supported Netanyahu’s decision to speak to the U.S. Congress against the upcoming deal with Iran. He called Obama “one of the worst American presidents” and said that Netanyahu’s campaign against the deal is justified because it also serves the interests of the Gulf States.

Dr. Al-Faraj’s puts Obama’s policy regarding Iranian nukes in the proper context:

“I will conclude by saying the following: Since Obama is the godfather of the prefabricated revolutions in the Arab world, and since he is the ally of political Islam, [which is] the caring mother of [all] the terrorist organizations, and since he is working to sign an agreement with Iran that will come at the expense of the U.S.’s longtime allies in the Gulf, I am very glad of Netanyahu’s firm stance and [his decision] to speak against the nuclear agreement at the American Congress despite the Obama administration’s anger and fury. I believe that Netanyahu’s conduct will serve our interests, the people of the Gulf, much more than the foolish behavior of one of the worst American presidents.”

Democrats reacted differently:

The Reaction from the Democrats was quick and vile, while the Prime Minister of Israel build a case about what was wrong with the proposed deal, the Democrats called him names, put words in his mouth saying things he didn’t say. The message was clear,”F**k Israel! the Jews will vote for us anyway.”

John Yarmuth (D-KY) barked:

“I would like to congratulate speaker Boehner and Prime Minister Netanyahu on a very impressive bit of political theater. Now the prime minister can go home to his campaign and say he lectured congress and the American people on things that apparently we didn’t know.”

David Price (D-NC) denounced Netanyahu for accepting the invitation to speak to Congress, which “tarnished[ed] the grand tradition of the joint session.” John Lewis (D-GA) dismissed Netanyahu’s historic speech as “an affront.”

Stooping still lower, Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) denounced Netanyahu for supporting Israel’s ally the USA during the Iraq War.

Then there was Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat in the House, who evidently could not even sit still and act like a grownup during the speech:

Pelosi rudely exited the chamber before Netanyahu did, and afterward proclaimed that she was “near tears” throughout the speech.

Reasonable Arabs will side with the West to prevent the maniacs running Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. But Democrats won’t.
