Marine killer inspired by global jihad

The latest information concerning the Marine killer in Chattanooga, Tenn. indicates strong, if not irrefutable, evidence that the killer was inspired and radicalized by the global jihad. At the forefront of the push toward jihad is ISIS, perhaps the most barbaric terrorist group in the world.

Almost immediately after the initial phase of the investigation was completed, local law enforcement, Homeland Security, and the White House were quick to characterize the murders as domestic terrorism. However, that term is highly misleading to most Americans who get their news in brief segments on the run.

The term domestic terrorism is more often than not understood to mean homegrown violence that according to Homeland Security and the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) indicates flag waving, Constitution adhering, deeply religious, and gun-toting citizens who are sympathetic to the Tea Party movement. This gives Barack Obama, his appointees in various agencies, and many collectivists a golden opportunity to deflect attention away from Islamic extremism while placing the blame on upstanding U.S. citizens.

Homeland Security and SPLC both have issued policy statements, news stories, and public pronouncements that have stated the charges mentioned above almost verbatim. SPLC, for example, contends that citizens are much more threatened by homegrown terrorists who cling to their Bibles and guns than by the global jihad. Homeland Security stated the same in 2009, lumping together conservatives, Tea Party activists, libertarians, and conservative Christians with Islamic extremists.

The mainstream media marches in lockstep with this point of view. All of the major networks, with the exception of Fox News, refused to report facts concerning the perpetrator’s connection to radicalized Islam. Nothing was said about jihadi extremism
