Today a suspect was arrested.
Shannon Miles, 30 years old, is in custody.
The sheriff, Harris County Sheriff Ron Hickman who Goforth was deputy for, has called the killing a ‘Cold-blooded execution’ and said that Goforth was killed because he wore a police uniform. He has also said,
We’ve heard Black Lives Matter, All Lives Matter. Well, cops’ lives matter, too. So why don’t we drop the qualifier and say lives matter,” Hickman said.
The sheriff added, “I’ve been in law enforcement 45 years. I don’t recall another incident this cold-blooded and cowardly.”

A police officer of 45 years “doesn’t remember an incident so cold-blooded and cowardly.”? How is that possible unless he is only refering to a killing of an officer? Maybe officers will hold their actions responsible when carrying them out. Maybe they will put officers in prison for shooting innocent people, or at least unnarmed people. I can’t even shoot an unarmed intruder in my house and get away with it. But if you intrude on their traffic laws or jaywalking laws, be ready and comply, you may be shot. What a joke.
