Kim Jong Un Orders North Korea's Nuclear Weapons On Alert Status

Yeah, sure, more bluff and bluster and spittle – but maybe, just maybe, it’s the real thing:

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un ordered his country to be ready to use its nuclear weapons at any time and to turn its military posture to “pre-emptive attack” mode in the face of growing threats from its enemies, official media said on Friday.

The comments carried by official KCNA news agency marked a further escalation of tension on the Korean peninsula after the U.N. Security Council imposed harsh new sanctions against the isolated state for its nuclear program.

While removing all equivalent sanctions in Iran.  It’s quite a twisted dichotomy, isn’t it?

Kim made the comments as he supervised the exercise of newly developed multiple rocket launchers, KCNA reported. It did not mention the date of the drills but said the new weapons had South Korea within range.

Kim said North Korea should “bolster up (its) nuclear force both in quality and quantity” and stressed “the need to get the nuclear warheads deployed for national defence always on standby so as to be fired any moment,” KCNA quoted him as saying. “Now is the time for us to convert our mode of military counteraction toward the enemies into a preemptive attack one in every aspect.”

Sooner or later it will be the real thing, you know.  And the “experts” of the Obama Regime will go right on dismissing the possibility of NoKo nukes raining down on Guam and Hawaii and the West Coast until their bombs start to fall.

Remember Pearl Harbor?  Up until the morning of December 7th, 1941, the FDR administration was similarly dismissive of any Japanese attack, right up until those bombs started to fall and most of the U.S. Pacific Fleet was wiped out.  I would think that “smart” foreign policy would always err on the side of overestimation when it comes to rogue enemy powers with nuclear weapons and a consistent declaration of their willingness to use them against us, and taking the necessary self-defense measures to neutralize such threats (anti-ICBM interceptors, hardening of the electrical grid, etc.), instead of relying on toothless sanctions (which, in Pyongyang’s case, will always be undermined by the ChiComms) and “diplomacy”.

But true “smart power” is massively unpopular, because it “costs too much” (I thought mass death costs a lot more, but what do I know?) and vigilance is “too hard”.  And besides, Kim III is all bluff and bluster and spittle, right?

Until he no longer is.  And on that day, to quote Sarah Connor….

….anybody in Honolulu and/or Seattle and/or ortland, and/or San Francisco and/or Los Angeles who isn’t wearing two million sunblock is going to have a really bad day.

And we usually have no need for sunblock in the Pacific Northwest.  Somehow I don’t think our umbrellas will afford us much protectoin.
