Obama's Gender Insanity Must Be Stopped

President Obama is working overtime to impose the dangerous agenda of LGBT extremists. As you know, he’s already demanding that every public school in America comply with an edict opening school bathrooms, showers and locker rooms to members of the opposite sex based on “gender identity.” This risks the privacy and safety of girls who could be confronted by biological men in the most intimate of facilities.

Now Obama’s Department of Health & Human Services has ruled that doctors, hospitals, insurers and taxpayer-funded health programs must provide hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgeries for “transgender” persons. Our taxes and insurance premiums will pay for this!

NOM is committed to fighting President Obama and to derailing this illegal, dangerous, expensive agenda. We’re working to pressure Congress to put an end to this, and will support states, school districts, and parents who are planning to sue the Obama administration. We’re also working to educate the public about what is going on, and rally the grassroots to protest.

Thankfully, Americans across the country are calling out President Obama’s illegal, unwarranted redefinition of “sex” to include “gender identity.” NOM’s chairman, John Eastman, is part of the legal team representing North Carolina in their fight against the administration’s attack on their state’s laws. Over fifty families in Illinois have filed a federal lawsuit to challenge the US Department of Education’s decision to force a local high school to open the girls’ showers, bathrooms and locker rooms to a young man who “identifies” as a female. Nearly 100 lawmakers in Pennsylvania sent a strongly-worded letter to the administration expressing their “extreme outrage at the legally spurious” position of President Obama.

NOM is already hard at work to support these efforts, and others, to challenge the illegal actions of President Obama. But we need your help to be successful. People who suffer from gender confusion deserve our compassion and prayers, but they do not deserve our tax dollars and insurance premiums to pay for “treatments” that will harm rather than help them. It flies in the face of common sense and ignores the biologic — and biblical — reality that gender is biologically based and not based on “feelings” and “emotions.” We should help gender confused people to love the person God made them to be, not to pursue a false fantasy that taking powerful chemicals or undergoing surgical mutilation will somehow fix the issues they are struggling with.
