I went to a military High School whose freshman year was patterned on the service academies plebe year. So basically, we freshmen were at the mercy of any upperclassman.
I recall that early in that year my roommate and I were approached, as were all freshmen, by a particular upperclassman, Perske, who offered us protection for the low, low price of a six pack of Mountain Dew weekly. Of course we quickly realized that the protection offered by Perske was from himself and his upperclassman buddies, so we refused.
Perske’s Mountain Dew plan mimics one of the leftists most widely used tactics; namely to foment a crisis, offer to fix the crisis you fomented, and bring a solution to that crisis involving more government and loss of freedom. It is of this tactic which Rahm Emmanuel said, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste … .”
In the second Trump-Clinton debate, in questioning on energy, hillary claimed to be the only candidate with a plan to help the coal miners.
Of course the only reason the coal miners need help, is that obama ordered actions by various federal agencies to essentially cripple the coal industry. And as to these actions, hillary is in agreement.
So, hillalry lied … again. Ho hum. And, after all, at this point … .
