Texas State Trooper Hit By Gunfire From Mexico

FRONTON, Texas (AP) — A Texas state trooper was wounded on the Texas-Mexico border by a bullet traced to a gunbattle underway on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande.

Lt. Johnny Hernandez of the Texas Department of Public Safety says the trooper was struck in the leg by what may have been an errant bullet from across the river.

Hernandez says it was unclear if the gunfight involved the Mexican military or state police. The Texas state trooper was hit about 1 p.m. Friday while on foot patrol in the Starr County border community of Fronton, about 105 miles upstream from Brownsville.

The trooper, whose identity hasn’t been released, was airlifted to a McAllen hospital, where he was in stable condition with what Hernandez says is a non-life-threatening wound. SOURCE

A non-life threatening wound. That’s the GOOD part of this story.

Let me pose this question; what the hell is wrong when we have Americans, whether they are Law Officers or civilians, getting shot by wild rounds fired in another country??

There has to be a solution, I think I have one, but in this politically correct world in which we live I seriously doubt I would have many supporters, but I am of the belief that we should turn everything, for at least a mile south of the Rio Grande, into a stark, bare and lifeless desert. 

Harsh you say? Have you spent any time on the US/Mexico border? Have you been close enough to hear the rounds going off as the gangs and cartels battle each other as the Federales simultaneously? 

Anyone that believes we don’t need to close the border, enforce that closure and shoot ANYONE coming across it into the UNITED STATES at anything other than a LEGAL crossing needs to read this and either open their minds to the idea of defending this nation or get their Liberal asses the hell down there ON that border and spend a few days working the river.

If the little cupcakes can last a few days that is, most of them would run, screaming for MAMA and crying their little eyes out before the 1st hour was done.
