I remember this night in 1980. I was too young to vote but I supported Ronald Reagan via a massive display of bumper stickers and yard signs. Even as young as I was there were things going on in the world that made we worry a great deal about our future. President Reagan explained our situation and what he intended to do as President to correct it, in language even a young teenager could understand. In 1980 we understood that we needed a radical course correction. History records the margins by which the electorate understood this.
