It’s Winter, Time for the Times to Tell Us Cold Weather Is Caused by Global Warming

The country is in the icy grip of dangerously cold weather, making it difficult for the time being to shove global warming malarkey down our throats — difficult, but not impossible, at least not for people with the gall to tell us that cold weather is caused by warm climate (which is caused in turn by insufficient taxation and regulation):

When these cold snaps come, you may hear other people asking,” If global warming is supposed to be warming the globe, then why is it so cold?”

Well, for starters, there is a difference between weather and climate. Climate refers to the long-term averages and trends in atmospheric conditions over large areas, while weather deals with short-term variations, which is what happens when the polar vortex visits your hometown.

And of course, an Arctic blast can still occur in a warmer world. The air that comes down from the North Pole might not be as cold, … but it would still be the product of the same phenomenon.

Some studies suggest that climate change could actually make these frigid waves of Arctic air more common, a result of shrinking sea ice.

The dreaded polar vortex might be moderated, if only we would give up fossil fuels and make due with politically correctly generated energy levels that cannot sustain the modern economy required to feed the current population.

This nonsense will continue until the always-fluctuating climate trends colder for long enough for them to switch back to the global cooling hysteria they fed us during the 1970s.
