I Feel Like Starting A Fight

I have noticed, since the ascendance of Donald J Trump to the forefront of the Republican nominating process, that a not-insignificant portion of the “right” (we’ll call them the “alt-right”), decided that they are no longer satisfied in being conservatives and maintaining the moral high ground. I’m convinced that these people are the same who wouldn’t vote for Romney or McCain, ensuring their respective losses and giving us 8 years of Barack Obama, though I have no means of proving it.

This “ends justify the means” attitude is straight out of Alinsky’s playbook. We discussed this here, years back, the virtue or vice of assuming the negative traits of the enemy to defeat them. I don’t agree that we have to become like the left to beat the left. They’re beating themselves. I will not become what they want to believe I am, just so I can use their shit tactics against them.

I stand for me. I stand for liberty. I stand for a limited constitutional republic. Anything short of that will be met with scorn & ridicule. I will never change until it is time to take up arms. Then, I will stand for relentless death-dealing and subterfuge until my enemy loses their will to fight, because that is the means and end of war. Nothing short of warfare, will force me to become like the vile, hate-filled, ignorant left.

I will never support a strong man to run my country. (I am not saying DJT is, but we see the comments all the time that he should do what Obama did and that pisses me off.)

So many of the pillars of the alt-right are based upon fault assumptions, like the idea that “diversity + proximity = conflict”. This wrong-headed notion completely ignores hundreds of millions of man-years where diverse peoples who assimilate into one society with one standard, thrive. Multi-culturalism is an abject failure of western progressive ideology. The bogeyman you seek is not diversity, but multi-culturalism.

Childish games and public tit-for-tats are funny because I have the sense of humor of a 7 year old boy, but they are not what I want from my President. Dictatorial violations of the US Constitution may get things done, but they aren’t what I want from my government. Donald Trump has made solid nominations and I’m happy with that aspect of his winning the election, but so long as he continues to act like a jackass, I will continue to assault his jackassery with every bit of wit and ridicule I can muster.

I owe no fealty to any party or leader. I am a free man. I will not act like the enemy to defeat them. I will stand on my own two feet and live my life as the man I was brought up to be and never surrender my principles on the altar of political gamesmanship. The left is destroying itself. We don’t have to go to their side and use their tactics to help it along. People choose to do that because it’s easier. For me, losing hope that the ship can be righted, was easier than giving up principles. I will continue to live by them.
