TERROR police have arrested five people in Spain as they prepared to sell 8,000 weapons to jihadis.

A workshop used to repair terrorist weapons run by the group was also discovered this week.

The huge haul has now been confiscated and the workshop has been shut down, according to the National Police.

The black market discovery was the biggest in recent years, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
hey said the group were made up of four men and one woman, all of whom were Spanish. They were arrested in the north Spanish towns of Olot, Liendo, Galdacano and Guecho, where the workshop was discovered.

Police forces from Barcelona, Valencia and Santander were also involved in the operation.

The group were “very active” in selling weapons to jihadis

Police said the group was “very active” and heavily involved with selling weapons to terrorist groups.

The five suspects legally bought unused weapons of war, repaired them before selling them on to terror cells or organised crime groups.

The group were caught during a police operation supporters by Europol, the continent-wide crime agency.

This particular operation was set up in the wake of a terror attack at a Jewish museum in Brussels in May 2014.
