Red Bandana = Target of Opportunity
Now this is an interesting publication. It’s not so much the content that interests me but the perspective with which it is being presented. The title of this publication is “Know your (Gun) Rights – A Primer for Radicals”. I kind of feel bad for the person, whoever it is, who wrote this. He or she is an unnamed commenter on a Blog called “It’s going down”.
First of all there’s the title. It’s all wrong. Radicals don’t need a primer on Gun Laws. They already know the Law and they have already decided what side of the Law they are going to be on. This is part of how they probably became known as a radical. I became known as a radical as a result of my multiple violations of Federal Firearms Laws back in the early 90’s. I did not need a primer on Gun Laws at the time I radically broke those Laws.
Secondly, the writer incorrectly assumes that the term “Radical” is one that can only be applied strictly to the Left. I’ll pause for laughter now.
The person who wrote the publication I am about to present if living in Fear. This person somehow finds comfort in making attempts to manipulate others. He or she is trying to encourage their fellow Progressives to purchase Firearms and to begin to consider themselves to be Radicals. Who knows if the writer has the balls to do either but it makes whoever wrote this feel good to talk about it. You know, tough talk.
With the resurgence of fascism and right-wing violence against radicals, the topic of armed self-defense and gun ownership has become much more popular in radical communities. Traditional “Know Your Rights” trainings in radical and progressive circles have usually focused on the rights people have to protest or when interacting with law enforcement. It’s about time we start talking about exactly which rights the Second Amendment entails as well.
Well, the dumbasses are arming themselves and calling themselves “Radicals”. Let’s hope that some of them will buy weapons that are decent enough to be worth capturing. It won’t take long to do it.
