Am I on the Right Track?

This was sent to me by a good friend, Brownie Sherrill. We were neighbors when I still lived in Rowlett and we did, on occasion, plot together to see what we could get into and accomplish in the process. I hope you enjoy this piece of work by Brownie Sherrill and I hope he sends more similar work in the future.

Don’t get your particular political persuasion panties in a wad because this is directed at Republicans, Democrats, Tea party, Independents, Socialists, Whigs and whatever else you identify with.

The reason the Democrats lost the election is because they are trying to maintain the establishment in Washington.

We the People are sick and tired of the establishment and their business as usual attitude. They don’t do crap, all parties included.

In 2014, John Boehner said that if the American people voted in a Republican congress, they would get rid of Obamacare. Well, he got his Republican congress and he never brought up Obamacare. Now, the establishment is wasting OUR money rambling on day after day about the Presidents picks for his Cabinet.

Keep it up and We the People will get rid of you.

As I type this, the President announced his choice for Supreme Court. The news said the Democrats plan on blocking whoever he picks.

Democrats! You are wasting OUR money! It is time for you to go.

Since I brought it up, why are we paying these people the ridiculous salaries? Oh, yeah, they voted them in for themselves. I think they should be making minimum wage. That is fair because they think people can live on minimum wage.

If they need a raise,  just raise the minimum wage.

Someone please tell me why their retirement is their salary for life. Why do they even get retirement?

Serving in a House or Senate seat is a privilege and not supposed to be your career. We need term limits so there will be less of a chance of someone dying in there wheelchair on the floor of the House or Senate. They should be contributing to Social Security and getting their payment once a month like I do. If they were on Social Security, I’ll bet it wouldn’t have taken us 3 years to get a raise and it would have been more than .3%.

That is 3/10’s of 1%.

Since I brought up Obamacare, why aren’t the House and Senate on Obamacare? Why do they get special insurance? They need to go through the exchange and pay for it with their minimum wage.

During the Lyndon Johnson administration, Washington found there was some extra money in Social Security so, in their infinite wisdom; they decided to use that money to pay for welfare. That money was and is not theirs to use. It belongs to you and me, We the People.

This has been said before but, I’ll say it again; how many billions of dollars do we send to other countries while we have homeless veterans, homeless families, elderly people trying to live, no, exist on a few hundred dollars from Social Security, seniors not getting a raise in Social Security for three years and then getting the puny raise I mentioned above and call it a cost of living raise.

Pull your head out, Washington. The successful politicians today, January 31, 2017, are the ones that got the message and understand that your good ole boy network is over.

My friend, you have nothing to worry about, your level is still accurate, at least from MY point of view.

Wait … unless we’re both a half a bubble off plumb.
