At first my girlfriend thought I was odd

This should go without saying. I did my best to run her off immediately after she took up stalking me. I told her about all the bad things in my life. I told her about all the crazy things in my life. I did everything I could do to make her understand that she doesn’t want any of this. This did nothing to dissuade her, in fact I think it was more akin to throwing gasoline on a bonfire. Navy Chicks. They seem to like adventure.

She learned early on that I am a man of very odd procedures. One of them is the washing of the tops of canned beverages before they go into the refrigerator or are consumed. I don’t feel compelled to do so with canned beverages that come from a container that was sealed on the assembly line but any canned beverage that was shipped or stored in such a manner that the tops of the cans have been exposed to an open environment, they get washed. The same goes for all canned food.

All of that seems to be a good practice but starting about 10 years ago a fatal event took place here in Florida and the cause of Death was as a result of not washing the tops of Coca Colas before consuming them.

This is why I now wash canned drinks before putting them in the refrigerator.

After I shared this news with my girlfriend she let me know that I have probably saved her life. Navy Chicks. They sure do like their canned beverages.
