If Not ‘Fake News’ What Should We Call it?
I’m talking about the slandering insinuations that are being passed off as news by anti-Trump news organizations. We should call them out but we should do so accurately. Here are a couple of examples:
“As Presidents Live Longer, Doctors Debate Whether To Test For Dementia”
Another – Don Lemon at CNN assembled a panel to talk about Trump in disparaging terms; his visits to his Florida home, his family traveling with him, and, believe it or not, his golfing. One of his panel said what he was doing is not news, calling it ‘Fake News’. Lemon wouldn’t let him talk, cut him off, and walked off the set.
Crap like this is not news. It is an attempt to delegitimize everything Trump does by talking smack about it. We should have a term for it other than ‘Fake News’.
Although calling it Fake News seemed to get under Lemon’s skin – so there’s that.

What should we call it? How about someone else’s perspective. Or how about the 1st amendment. Or maybe the right to free press. Just because you don’t agree doesn’t make it fake. Maybe what you’re hearing from Trump is fake? This is no different than when Obama came out against conservative media. Hypocrites.
