Milo Yiannopoulos Resigns from Breitbart News
Right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos, Senior Editor at Breitbart News, announced his resignation from the conservative blog amid backlash over controversial comments he made about Jews, sexual consent, statutory rape, child abuse and homosexuality.
Yiannopoulos said in a statement Tuesday he did not want his “poor choice of words” to take away from his colleagues’ reporting, adding that the decision to step down is “mine alone.”
“Breitbart News has stood by me when others caved. They have allowed me to carry conservative and libertarian ideas to communities that would otherwise never have heard them. They have been a significant factor in my success. I’m grateful for that freedom and for the friendships I forged there,” Yiannopoulos wrote. SOURCE
It’s amazing how things sometimes just fall into place.
A couple of days ago I was having a serious conversation with someone very close to me regarding this Milo Yiannopoulos character and just below is the statement I made to him after he told me that Milo was the NEW face of REAL Conservatism and that he, (Milo) was the new way the party was heading and that the old, grey-haired rich guys were on their way out. I was told that *Gay Conservatism* was one of the *ways of the future*.
I AM a hard-core Conservative, a Reagan Conservative, and if this guy Milo Yiannopoulos is the new representative of Conservatism then it’s time for me to reconsider MY affiliation.
Now he has had his invitation to CPAC pulled and he has parted ways with Breitbart, that is confirmed, and in MY *old grey-haired yet far from rich* opinion is this; Milo knows the script, speaks the words and he does stir passion, but that passion is being stirred among younger folks, and their political view, for the most part, doesn’t match up to mine or anyone else that helped start the Conservative movement, have been a part of it or has held to the beliefs of Ronald Reagan for more years than these kids have been alive and their *passions* are NOT that of true Conservatism.
I am not the only one that feels this way apparently and it would appear that the folks at CPAC are coming to their senses. We don’t need people like this taking the mantel in what has been a long and difficult effort to build what we have today.
I have always heard it said, “Follow the money”.
Now I don’t know who’s pulling his strings but his exit from Breitbart is, at least to me, a wonderful thing for REAL Conservatism.
I read a lot of Conservative pages, I talk to a lot of Conservative individuals from all walks of life; religious, elected officials and Law Enforcement and I haven’t heard any of them make disparaging comments about Jews.
Sexual consent, statutory rape, child abuse and homosexuality is an entirely different matter.
Yiannopoulos has admitted that he is a homosexual; some articles I have seen claim he wishes otherwise and would abandon that lifestyle if he could, something I seriously don’t believe, simply because if he really hates the life, or if he’s really *bored* with it as I read, then he would change his life and become a REAL Conservative, not some radical and not some *mouthpiece* trying to make a *buck*.
Is it out of line to talk about Yiannopoulos and his proclivity for penis and use the words *mouthpiece* and *buck* in the writing?
I personally don’t give a damn how he, or any other homosexual *rolls* or what they do in the privacy of their bedroom or home, just keep it there, but when it’s thrown out as a *badge* of some sort, a *HEY, Look at me, I’m a QUEER* kind of thing, well, then it becomes a problem for me.
It would be wonderful to see people like Milo Yiannopoulos get away from the Conservative movement, very far away. It is MY opinion that he, by his words and lifestyle, will do far more harm to Conservatism than good.
This is the only post I have ever made concerning Milo Yiannopoulos and unless something worth reporting comes into play, it WILL be my last.
News, Opinion and Commentary; heavy on the OPINION part.
That is what The TexasFred Blog is known for and was built on, I see no need to change at this late date.
