Only An Actor Could Have Such A Distorted Reality

You may remember the actress, Candice Azzara, as the wife of the Rodney Dangerfield’s character in the 1983 movie, “Easy Money.” But it is a statement extolling the virtue of actors that I happened upon that needs to be addressed regardless of the number of years ago said film was made.

“Candy feels actors are the most sincere, genuine people around.” (http://www.candice-azzara.info/articles/candice_azzara_interview1967.htm)

She claims: “Actors are so giving, real, and truthful. They are a very sensitive bunch of people…they can appreciate anything from a burlesque show to scrubbing floors because they have to portray these people constantly and they can ‘feel’ for them. … To actors everyone has a heart and soul…they just don’t put people down.”

Granted the interview referenced took place no few years ago. But her comments were a reach back then even if there was a modicum of truth to what I will graciously call her “delusional” viewpoint.

Hollywood has always been a cesspool of debauchery, communists, and marauders. Actors were able to escape prosecution because the studios, which were heavily invested in them and even more dependent upon them for the riches said studios, coveted more than anything else, was able to control what was made known to the public. The media eager to go along contributing to the cover up.

Abortions, alcoholism, homosexuality, drug addiction, were the culture and the legendary casting couch allowed studio bosses to bed any woman wanting to make it in the industry.

Hollywood is where Roman Polanski, a pedophile rapist, and Woody Allen who had an affair and subsequently married the adopted daughter of Mia Farrow with whom he was deeply involved.

Azzara spoke of actors being “so giving, real, and truthful.” One need look no further than the divorce and/or shack up rate to realize the myth of that statement. I could say the divorce rate and shack up-break up rate was near 100 percent and not fear being more than a couple points off. Actors aren’t honest with those they rent a bedroom with for brief interludes that bolsters their star appeal.

I know the interview was before Michael Moore, but it wasn’t before Norman Lear and others. Lear was the liberal from the mold Michael Moore and Rob Reiner sprang forth.

Hollywood is the world of bad facelifts and facial reconstruction, and even more sickening body sculpting that went wrong. Meryl Streep is forced to sneer because her botox and injections and facial work have reduced her face to gypsum of alabaster. Hollywood is Cher, who thanks to facial work, is now able to speak without moving her lips.

It is also the culture in which her daughter decided she wanted to be a man and spent massive resources to accomplish same. Sadly, she now cries to any who will listen that women won’t date her because they don’t view her as a real man. To which I say thankfully those women are not buying the lie.

Is Ashley Judd, Madonna, Janeane Garofalo, Danny Glover, Sean Penn, representative of those actors that would fit Azzara’s assertion? What about Brad Pitt who publicly berated his mother because she, as a Christian, opposes homosexuality and homosexual marriage?

We’ve seen Hollywood turn on those of their own fraternity with a primal viciousness of jackals attacking an antelope. Speaking of which is it their “sensitivity and truthfulness” we’ve witnessed pursuant to their rabid attacks against President Trump and his family? What about their ad hominem attacks against the President’s youngest son?

I personally know and am friends with several actors, but those friendships do not darken my eyes to the truth of what a sewer Hollywood is as a whole. I would hasten to add that those with whom I am friends are conservative and married with healthy households. And let there be no doubt, they are the exception not the norm.

Hollywood actors love to dictate to us what to eat, what to drive, and they are quick to attack our Second Amendment rights. While they fly in private jets, travel in limousines and live in sprawling multi-million dollar mansions.

Azzara’s comments may be not have been from this decade but her opinion of actors is consistent with the opinion they hold of themselves today. And if anyone doubts it they can ask them, or one of their legion of publicity agents and personal assistants.
