◆ Thought Crime Orwell-Style Launching without the leftists realizing their censorship is anti-freedom and pro-sharia: Germany’s Cabinet approved a new bill that punishes social networking sites if they fail to swiftly remove illegal content such as hate speech or defamatory fake news.

Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Cabinet agreed on rules that would impose fines of up to 50 million euros (53.4 million dollars) on Facebook, Twitter and other social media platforms.

German Justice Minister Heiko Maas said that the companies offering such online platforms are responsible for removing hateful content. He said the new bill would not restrict the freedom of expression, but intervene only when criminal hatred or intentionally false news are posted.

Germany poses a particular problem for U.S.-owned social networking sites accustomed to American standards of free speech. Due to its Nazi past, Germany bans public Holocaust denial and any overt promotion of racism. The issue has come to the fore amid the recent influx of migrants to Germany, which has sparked a backlash among some Germans including a rise in online vitriol.

◆ The Liberal Left Continues to Deny that Islam is the reason behind the rapes and molestations: Three refugees, ages 14, 10 and seven, pled guilty to sexually assaulting a five-year-old girl in Idaho.

The boys, one from Iraq and two from Eritrea, entered their guilty plea last week but the case’s resolution received almost no national attention.

◆ Genital mutilation in the United States, but liberal left continues to proclaim Islam is a peaceful and harmless religion:   A Detroit emergency room physician was charged with mutilating the genitalia of two 7-year-old girls in what is believed to be the first case of its kind brought under federal law.

Jumana Nagarwala of Northville was charged with female genital mutilation, a five-year felony, and transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity, a felony punishable by 10 years to life, according to a complaint unsealed in U.S. District Court.

◆ Liberal Left Democrats Find the Darnedest things to ticket you for. . . because it’s all about control of your life: A man who fought a $128 ticket for leaving his car running was on the losing end of a court case earlier this week and may appeal the ruling.

Taylor Trupiano, 24, who lives in this suburb about 20 miles north of Detroit, was warming up his car in his driveway Jan. 5 when he ran inside to get his girlfriend and her 2-year-old son. That 10 minutes or so was enough time for a Roseville officer to issue him a citation because he was in violation of a state law intended to hamper car theft.

Trupiano’s vehicle was left “wide open” near the bottom of his driveway about 2 feet from the sidewalk, City Attorney Tim Tomlinson said.
