Dems: “Why Did We Lose Big In 2016? No – Don’t Tell Me!”

A person would think that Democrats would want to know why they were so soundly beaten. It wasn’t just 2016, either. The mid-term races of 2010 and 2014 both showed Republican candidates taking seats away from Democrats. We reported that some in the party wanted to know the why of the defeat.

They called for a post-mortem on the election but their new leaders don’t want the results to get out. How does anyone expect to correct the mistakes of the past if they don’t know what the mistakes were?

House Democrats are going to extreme lengths to conceal a report on the party’s problems.

After nearly five months, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) presented his investigative report to lawmakers during a members-only gathering at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee headquarters Thursday night.

Only about two-dozen lawmakers showed up for the presentation, which sources described as “dense but thorough.” But members were not allowed to have copies of the report and may view it only under the watchful eyes of DCCC staff.”
