Trump Administration Reacts to Syria Chemical Attack

When news of the chemical attack in Syria reached the ears of Americans, the reality of how far a dictator is willing to go to get what he wants, and retain his power, was once again confirmed.  Simply put, there are some very bad actors out there, and it seems most of them huddle around Islam.  When the news of the attack got to President Donald Trump, as expected, the Republican President condemned the attack that left 72 people dead as an “affront to humanity” that “cannot be tolerated.”

Trump’s comments began his joint news conference with Jordanian King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein at the White House this morning.

The chemical attack occurred in a town in Syria’s rebel-held northern Idlib province, and is considered among the worst attacks in the country’s six-year civil war. The Trump administration has blamed the attack on the government of President Bashar Assad.

Innocent people, including women and small children “and even beautiful little babies” were killed and “These heinous actions by the Assad regime cannot be tolerated,” Trump said.

While I am not going to take away any blame from Assad, the larger causes are the presence and existence of a group like ISIS, and the Islamic language calling for jihad in the Muslim holy book, the Koran.

This is why the “refugee crisis” has been such a difficult issue to manage.  It is understood that the area is a war zone, and that people are being displaced, and wish to flee from the terror.  Our big hearts want nothing more to help these poor people.  However, the enemy has used the situation as a way of using the crisis to infiltrate The West, and their numbers of jihadists are mixed into the groups of fleeing refugees.  Thankfully, countries like Jordon has tried to assist in the refugee situation, and Trump acknowledged Jordan’s role in hosting refugees from the conflict in Syria during the news conference this morning.  Trump also announced that the U.S. will contribute more funds to Jordan for humanitarian assistance, saying that the goal of “any responsible refugee policy” is to pave the way for refugees to return home.

That is a significant statement, coming from Trump.  Refugees returning home to a less dangerous place is the goal.  Reality, however, has been that when it comes to the Muslim migrants and liberal left policy-makers, the refugee policy has been all about redistributing the refugees throughout The West without any concern about any reasonable return to their homeland.

Trump, during he news conference, also decided to make it clear that ISIS remains a target of his, and that he wants the U.S. and Jordan to work together in the battle to defeat ISIS, adding that the fight will be “shorter” than many people think.

“We will destroy ISIS and we will protect civilization, we have no choice,” Trump said.

I am just hoping that Trump does not come to the fatal conclusions that George W. Bush and Barack Obama came to, and fall into the “Islam is a religion of peace” lie.

The meeting at the White House this morning between Trump and the leader of Jordan is the second time they’ve had a chance to meet since Trump’s inauguration so as to “exchange views on a range of shared interests in the Middle East, including how the United States and Jordan can best defeat ISIS, end the conflict in Syria, and advance peace between Israelis and Palestinians” (according to a statement released by the White House last week).

“Working together the United States and Jordan can help bring peace and stability to the Middle East and in fact the entire world and we will do that,” Trump said.

As long as Islam adheres to the violent passages of the Koran, there will never be peace in the Middle East, but a strong hand in the area will definitely send a message that what is going on will not be tolerated.  Among Muslims, if spreading their seeds of hate becomes more difficult, historically the followers of the false prophet of Mohammad believe their jihad to no longer be in the will of Allah, and tend to slither back into the corners of their areas until they believe it is Allah’s will to seek their global domination of Islam once again.

The media has pointed out its hope that the meeting this morning may lead to a restart in Israeli-Palestinian talks.  The reality, however, is that the talks do little.  The Palestinians want a one-state solution, which is one that does not include the existence of Israel.

While I appreciate Trump’s desire to seek a peaceful solution in the Middle East, the reality of Islam is that from their point of view, peace will only be achieved when Israel is pushed off into the ocean, or Islam exists no more.

This is not the first time Syria has used chemical weapons to attack their adversaries.  It is believed Syria’s Assad also used chemical weapons in an attack back in August of 2013, as well.
