Following the release of President Donald Trump’s FY 2018 budget, FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon commented:

“The President’s budget is a big first step in the right direction. The White House is showing a commitment to balancing the budget and fixing our broken welfare system, which traps low-income Americans, welfare programs by promoting upward mobility. This budget isn’t perfect, but it serves as a good starting place for the House and Senate budget committees as they work to advance a pro-growth economic agenda.” “Congress has a responsibility to get the nation’s fiscal house in order. We hope that the committees work with the White House and conservatives in both chambers to return the country to a sustainable fiscal path.”
