I’ve been nominated for a MAGA Award–please help send me to the ceremony with Stacy McCain as my plus one

This week I was nominated for a MAGA Award in the LGBT Activists category! It will be held July 1-2, 2017, in Washington, D.C. My nominee ticket allows me to bring a plus one and my real life friend, Stacy McCain, of The Other McCain, has graciously accepted my invitation! But we need donations from readers to be able to attend.

The MAGA Awards are named for Pres. Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.” The festivities will feature America’s first fashion show with Andre Soriano. The  award categories include the top award for America’s Role Model; Journalist Integrity; Journalist Activist; All-American Celebrity; Musicians; Country Stars; Comedy Celebrity; Influential Sports Celebrity; and Book, Podcast or Documentary.

Here’s how the budget breaks down:

• Nominee ticket (for Stacy and me), $500
• Hotel for June 30 to July 3 (three nights, we’ll share a double room), $600
• Round trip flight from Iowa, $500
• Airport shuttle (two trips), $80
• Airport parking in Iowa, $18
• Cat sitter (eight visits): $200
• Meals for Stacy and me ($50/day each x 4 days), $400
• Cab fare: $100
• Appropriate dress and shoes for me: $500
• Contingency: $100
• Total: $2,998.00

The amount I need to raise ASAP is $1,600 to pay for the ticket, and reserve my flight and our hotel room. To get the maximum amount of attention, the MAGA Awards are scheduled on the weekend of the Fourth of July celebration, so flights and hotel rooms are booking up fast. Obviously, the affordable rooms go first.

Stacy and I have been real life friends since I first started blogging in 2009. Right now I am focusing on getting a job and writing a book on how to defeat the transgender agenda, so I may not be posting here very often. That means we’re depending on Stacy’s readers to donate the money need for both of us to attend.
