President Trump, if I may quote Ayn Rand,  “There can be no compromise on basic principles. There can be no compromise on moral issues. There can be no compromise on matters of knowledge, of truth, of rational conviction.”

Contrary to the fanatical belief of its advocates, compromise [on basic principles] does not satisfy, but dissatisfies everybody; it does not lead to general fulfillment, but to general frustration; those who try to be all things to all men, end up by not being anything to anyone. And more: the partial victory of an unjust claim, encourages the claimant to try further; the partial defeat of a just claim, discourages and paralyzes the victim.

There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil. The man who is wrong still retains some respect for truth, if only by accepting the responsibility of choice. But the man in the middle is the knave who blanks out the truth in order to pretend that no choice or values exist, who is willing to sit out the course of any battle, willing to cash in on the blood of the innocent or to crawl on his belly to the guilty, who dispenses justice by condemning both the robber and the robbed to jail, who solves conflicts by ordering the thinker and the fool to meet each other halfway. In any compromise between food and poison, it is only death that can win. In any compromise between good and evil, it is only evil that can profit. In that transfusion of blood which drains the good to feed the evil, the compromiser is the transmitting rubber tube . . .

When men reduce their virtues to the approximate, then evil acquires the force of an absolute, when loyalty to an unyielding purpose is dropped by the virtuous, it’s picked up by scoundrels—and you get the indecent spectacle of a cringing, bargaining, traitorous good and a self-righteously uncompromising evil.

Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history, a bus hijacking in which 37 civilians, among them 12 children, were murdered. Fatah’s Central Committee member Jamal Muhaisen spoke at the graduation and Fatah posted photos from it on Facebook. One photo shows a large banner at the event naming the economics and political science class after murderer Mughrabi: Text on poster: “[Fatah’s] Shabiba student movement The Martyrs’ cell Annual graduation ceremony Class of the Bride of the Coast Martyr Dalal Mughrabi” [Official Fatah Facebook page, April 12, 2017] The photo at the top shows Fatah official Jamal Muhaisen speaking at the event, and behind him a large banner displaying pictures of Mahmoud Abbas, Yasser Arafat, and two pictures of terrorist Dalal Mughrabi. Next to the picture of Arafat is the logo of Shabiba at An-Najah National University. The logo states: “From the sea of blood of the Martyrs we will create a state” and shows a coat of arms featuring a raised fist in the shape of the PA map that presents all of Israel as “Palestine” together with the PA areas. Naming a university class after a terrorist murderer is yet another example of the Palestinian Authority’s practice of educating for terror, which has been thoroughly documented in Palestinian Media Watch‘s report entitled PA education: A Recipe for Hate and Terror. This is constantly reinforced by statements and activities by PA and Fatah officials. In March, the PLO Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, headed by Jibril Rajoub, named a youth camp after Mughrabi, as did the PA National Security Forces and Fatah. Recently, former PLO Ambassador Omar Shalayel praised arch-terrorist Abu Jihad for “creating” Dalal Mughrabi and admired her “achievements”: “You know Dalal Mughrabi, [Abu Jihad] took her to a military base for six months and created a role model out of her. She succeeded in leading 10 or 11 men, crossing the sea, going 82 km. between Haifa and Tel Aviv, and killing 37 Israeli soldiers (sic., civilians), and imposing a curfew on half of the residents of Israel. This is a role model of his [Abu Jihad’s] education, the education of this great man who acted quietly. To this day, [Dalal Mughrabi] is one of our heroes.” [Official PA TV, Panorama of the Hour, April 16, 2017] Abu Jihad orchestrated numerous attacks in which 125 Israelis were murdered. Among the attacks was the Coastal Road massacre led by Mughrabi in 1978.
