What, In God’s Name, Is The Hurry?

Where did the notion come from that a health care bill must be pushed through Congress without proper consideration? It came from the Obama administration and their sycophants.

We are talking about thousands of pages. We, here, railed against such foolishness when Democrats forced passage of the Affordable Care Act – known as Obamacare. This new bill is also huge. Some say it has more pages than the ACA. You can bet no one in Congress has read it. I know I have not.

The whole idea of passing the successor to Obamacare the same way Obamacare was passed is a guarantee that it, too, will fail.

The only thing missing is the quote from the Speaker, ” We have to pass it to see what’s in it”.

“House Republicans set Thursday vote on health care bill”

House Republican leaders have set a Thursday vote on a bill that would repeal and replace ObamaCare, they announced Wednesday.

The vote announcement indicates that the GOP has enough votes to pass the so-called American Health Care Act (AHCA) and send the measure to the Senate for consideration. Republican leaders had spent several days scrambling to round up the votes.

“We’re gonna pass it,” House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., told Fox News, adding that the bill had the support of the required 216 members to pass out of the chamber.”
