Friday Night at the Movies

Welcome to the Real Revo Theater and the Friday Night Movie. Welcome to the Weekend. We leave behind another week on the grind. We all probably have a list of things to do this weekend that could not be done during the week. Right now that’s not what you’re doing though. It’s Friday Night. There’s going to be a little bit of relaxation going on. It’s just the natural cycle of things.

For many Millions of Americans, more so in days gone by, Friday Night is a movie night. So it happened years ago that I would occasionally publish a movie on Friday Night. Then it happened that I fell on hard times and could not be around as much as I would have liked. Then someone here said that they missed my BS and wished that they had a Friday Night Movie to watch. I was at a very low point in my life when I read those remarks and it meant a lot to me. I made a vow that when the Lord put those bad times behind me that I would honor those remarks with a Friday Night Movie for as long as I was able.

Shortly after my life made a radical turn for the better and I was able to get back here regularly and start doing a Friday Night Movie. It was at a time that the Real Revo was experiencing hard times. We were all exacerbated. It seemed as if we had said all that could be said about the times we were living and nothing that we published here ever had the slightest impact on turning the course of those events in a more favorable direction. We asked ourselves why it was that we spend time and energy required to exist on the internet. While we were trying to find the answer to that question, publications were light. It seemed as if we were drying up.

It was during this time that the Friday Night Movie became very important. There had to be certain publications to appear here regularly, at their appointed time. Our Freaky Friday Festivities became the opportunity for people to cut loose and those publications became the signs of life that let everyone know that we were still around. It was during these times that the importance of having a Friday Night Movie here became clear. A lot of time has past since those days and the movies do not get the viewership that they once did but I am pretty sure that things would seem pretty dead here on a Friday Night without a movie or two available to watch, whether you actually watch it or not.

I have become institutionalized by the Friday Night Movie. I am a Prisoner of the Real Revo Theater. Tonight we have one of the greatest Prison Movies of all time. It is an award winning cinematic masterpiece, a true classic.
