James Hodgkinson Kicks Off Democrat ‘Resistance Summer’ With A Series Of Bangs

‘Resistance Summer’ sounds like fightin’ words. It was meant to. The Democratic National Committee has called for what they call a ‘Resistance Summer’ beginning in June. Hodgkinson took the call literally.

“Dems launch ‘Resistance Summer’”

There has been an explosion of activism and energy after the election of Donald Trump, and we need to turn this moment into a movement,” DNC Chairman Tom Perez said in a statement.

“As the Democratic Party, it is our role to support this activism and energy, and convert it into electoral wins up-and-down the ballot by making sure state parties have the tools and resources they need to succeed.”

Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, the deputy chairman of the DNC, joined Perez in the statement, calling the summer action “the starting point” for the party’s efforts to organize the resistance movement into a larger political force.”

The Washington Examiner notes how the left has gone violent – not just in the United States.

Violence is increasingly visible or threatened in the attacks by ski-masked, hammer-armed “antifas” — people employing fascists-style violence on those who disagree — on campuses from Berkeley to New England and in the streets of “cool cities” like Portland. Contrary to mainstream media expectations, the violence and threats come almost entirely from the political Left, not the Right.

And there have been multiple violent threats and some actual violence against Republican House members. Virginia’s Tom Garrett canceled town halls in response to a message that “we’re going to kill your wife.” The message to Upstate New York’s Claudia Tenney was, “One down, 216 to go.”

A Tucson school official was arrested for making threats that Arizona’s Martha McSally’s “days were numbered.” A woman was charged with felony reckless endangerment for trying to drive Tennessee’s David Kustoff’s car off the road.”
