MARK LEVIN: Just Watch the Media Try to Rehabilitate the Same James Comey They Trashed

So, here’s another person familiar with what Comey’s going to say.

Quote: ‘He is not going to Congress to make accusations about the president’s intent, instead he’s there to share his concerns,’ the source said, and tell the committee ‘what made him uneasy’ and why he felt a need to write the memo documenting the conversation.’

Now, the media will run with anything. The media will do anything. All of a sudden, they rehabilitate James Comey…

James Comey was a snake; James Comey was lower than dirt; James Comey had cost Hillary Clinton the election. Chuck Schumer said he lacked integrity. Oh my! James Comey was the worst of the worst.

Now, James Comey is respected – a man of enormous integrity – calls them as he sees them.

But of course, the media play along, because the media want to see Trump ousted. Let’s be honest.

‘Comey told associates he plans to testify that despite the unusual request from the president he believed strongly that if he did his job properly he could conduct the investigation in an honest way.’

Oh, isn’t that nice? So, despite Trump, he still felt that he could do his investigation.

‘However, Comey … told associates he will not corroborate Trump’s claim that on three separate occasions Comey told the president he was not under— .’

Mr. Comey, why are you leaking? Why are you telling this to all the surrogates and then having them leak to the media? Why are you doing that?

We know why he’s doing it, ladies and gentlemen. The news cycle. He wants four, five, six, seven days of news cycle for this stuff. That’s why he’s doing it. He’s detestable.

‘When the president fired Comey early last month he wrote him a letter saying, While I greatly appreciate you informing me, on three separate occasions, that I am not under investigation, I nevertheless concur with the judgment of the Department of Justice that you are not able to effectively lead the Bureau.”

‘Comey’s associates have insisted in recent weeks that Comey would never have offered such assurances … .’

No, of course.

Well, then I guess, I guess they’re right. Nameless, faceless friends of Comey. Incredible.
