I have written enough about Charlottesville, but yesterday, an organization called America First held a rally in Laguna Beach. The cops were out in force and so were the forces of the left. In the wake of Charlottesville, we conservatives need to use caution when we plan to attend a rally in support of any of our causes.

I had not been aware of America First, but it appears this is no extremist organization. It is primarily concerned with border security. Nonetheless, they were outnumbered by the leftists in Laguna Beach who  tried to lump them in with the KKK and neo-Nazis who held the now infamous rally in Charlottesvile.

Those of us who oppose open borders, illegal immigration, Islamic fundamentalism, and other legitimate causes need to exercise caution when attending rallies. We need to know who the organization organizing the rally is, and who the speakers are. We also need to keep in mind that we cannot control who shows up. It might be someone who will discredit our cause. Given the tactics of the far left, it could also be someone they planted in the rally to make it appear that it is a racist rally.

We are entering a dangerous new phase of civil unrest.
