1%er Elizabeth Warren Tries and Fails to Square Her Extravagant Wealth With Her Marxist Rhetoric

Elizabeth Warren is one very rich faux Indian. She rakes in money generated by capitalism hand over fist:

Warren has made hundreds of thousands working as a consultant for insurance companies and big banks. Travelers insurance paid Warren $212,000 between 2008 and 2010 for consulting work. Warren, who claims responsibility for creating “the intellectual foundation” for the occupy movement, has also done consulting work for Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale, a law firm that represents Citigroup, JP Morgan Chase and Goldman Sachs.

Yet the anticapitalist rhetoric she exploits is straight out of the Communist Manifesto. WRKO radio host Jeff Kuhner called her on it and got what you would expect in response — a steaming load of crap:

Becoming rich despite humble beginnings is the American story. It is possible because we are relatively free. The poor can become rich through their own efforts, just as the rich can become poor through their own mistakes. Those who become rich and then try to freeze the current strata in amber by imposing socialism are pulling the ladder up after them so that others can’t follow.

Nothing sticks in the craw like the sanctimonious malice of well-to-do Marxists.
