Three Arrested Plotting to Set Off Bombs in NYC

“Three men — Abdulrahman El Bahnasawy, a 19-year-old Canadian citizen; Talha Haroon, a 19-year-old U.S. citizen based in Pakistan; and Russell Salic, a 37-year-old Philippines citizen — were all arrested on terror-related charges in the alleged plot that would have targeted New York City during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan in 2016, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Joon H. Kim.”

Three men have been arrested in an ISIS-inspired terror plot to set off bombs in New York City, the FBI has announced. One of the men, a Canadian citizen was initially arrested in 2016 when he traveled to New Jersey. He has since pleaded guilty according to court documents just unsealed. It is not clear when the other two were arrested or where.
