Y’all Should Get You Some Friends
Michelle was back home yesterday – that’s home home, Chicago’s Southside, not her new home in D.C.’s entitled enclave of Kalorama. She was in town to speak at the Obama Foundation summit. “The Obama Foundation,” wow, that didn’t take long did it?
They learned at the feet of the masters how to maximize the grift after leaving office. I wonder what the over/under is for how long it will take them to surpass the market value of the country’s previously largest political slush fund for fun and profit.
But I digress. First, as you listen to these clips ask yourself if it sounds like this girlfriend received her Ivy League education solely on the basis of merit.

A little entitled, a little self-righteous? I wonder if she’s talking about Barack, or just all those privileged white men? I don’t know about y’all, but I’m feelin’ pretty schtrong. And entitled. And then there’s this:

“Y’all should get you some friends?” Seriously? To borrow a Trumpism, that’s just “sad.”
By all accounts the summit was a yuge success, it concluded with a concert headlined by Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper, not to be confused with Chance the Gardener, who spoke earlier.
But clearly this event was all about Michelle. Her comments were intended to set the stage for the Dems posturing of important issues in the next presidential election where they will once again focus on the most important aspects of identity politics: misogynistic privileged white guys fighting an abused woman (of color) who finally found her voice:
“If we don’t teach our young girls to speak at an early age, that doesn’t just happen. It takes practice to have a voice. You have to use it again, and again, and again before you can say ‘no,’ or ‘stop,’ or ‘don’t touch me.” Come to think of it, that voice would work whether you’re running for president or just pitching your authentic self as Oprah’s replacement.
Girlfriend, “y’all should get you some friends.” Let me be your first: that hairdo really isn’t working for you. Ditto the flannel sack dress, I don’t care how much it cost.
