The fundamental right of self-defense is not honored in Britain. Virtually all handguns are banned. Yet we read this:

Over the last few years, gun crime has been on the rise in London. …

In the last three years, the number of offences has risen. In the 12 months to October 2017, there were 2,500 offences involving guns: a 16 per cent increase on the previous year and a 44 per cent increase on 2014.

Looks like suppressing the natural rights of law-abiding citizens does not control gun violence in a city where antisocial behavior is on the rise:

Examples of antisocial behaviour include: nuisance noise, animal problems, street drinking, littering or drugs paraphernalia, abandoned vehicles, misuse of fireworks, begging or vagrancy, noisy or nuisance neighbours. …

In March 2017, antisocial behaviour calls to the Met were 13 per cent higher compared to the preceding year.

Even if Big Government could keep guns out of everyone’s hands, it would only increase the power imbalance between criminals and their prey. Guns are called equalizers for a reason. Do you really want to get in a knife fight with a young criminal?

Police in London are to get an extra £15m next year to help combat knife crime in the capital, Mayor Sadiq Khan announced [earlier this month].

Shouts Khan:

“Londoners will see tougher action on knife crime throughout 2018 as we look to use all of the tools available to make our streets safer.” [Bold in original.]

The links above are to the Mayor of London website. That the Mayor is a Muslim reflects the demographic transformation that drives the rising rate of violent crime. No worries; authorities will no doubt solve the problem by cracking down more rigorously on nonviolent citizens who just want to be able to defend themselves in a formerly civilized city that is sinking into the Third World. Expect all knives to be criminalized soon.
