Pigs fly: LA Times apologizes for running California Attorney General’s false statement that man made death threats to mosque

The Geller Report brought you the story yesterday: the Attorney General of California, Xavier Becerra, agreed to drop charges that Mark Feigin had made death threats to the mosque — and then he went before the cameras and bragged about prosecuting Feigin for making death threats to the mosque.

But now, in a real pig-flying moment, the Los Angeles Times has apologized for running with Becerra’s inaccurate remarks. Feigin was convicted of misdemeanor for insulting Islam. He pleaded no contest — this was a gang-rape of the First Amendment. He was given a misdemeanor for exposing the crooked cop who falsified his confession. That was bad enough, but he did not make death threats. Usually the media runs with the lie, stands by the lie, and then whines about press freedom if challenged. You won’t see this kind of thing from the LA Times, or any other enemedia source, very often.
